We wanted more from our accommodations as we traveled around the world, and vacation home and condo rentals began to be the most common rentals available, and places such as Tropical Villas Orlando began to give travelers what they wanted. Community Amenities

The first community amenity was, of course, the hotel pool, often offering questionable cleanliness, rusted lounge chairs, and filled with children splashing, yelling, and rarely watched by their parents. We usually tried to avoid the pool as much as possible. Today’s community amenities, especially in the top resorts of Orlando, are a far different matter and include the ones listed below.

Community Pools

Yes, the pool is still a much desired amenity for travelers, especially in the tropical climate of Orlando, but they are far different from the ones at Motel 6. Offering everything from water slides to lazy rivers, our pools are crystal clear and often will be heated during the “cooler” months (December and January, during which temps only reach heights of about 70 degrees), ensuring that you can swim and work on your tan no matter what time of year you are visiting. Splash Pads

Traveling with tiny tots can make it difficult to find activities that are safe and entertaining for them, but our resort communities that offer splash pads will change all that. Colorful, bright, and safe for those who can’t swim as of yet, they also provide a fun way to cool off during the hottest days of summer.

Community Hot Tubs

The hotels you stayed in may have had their own hot tubs, but those would have been overrun with children, especially as parents felt “safer” having their kids splash around in much smaller spaces when they couldn’t swim. The resort hot tubs of Tropical Villas Orlando may be larger, will definitely be cleaner, and although their may be a few kiddos who seem to like their bubbling depths, they are mostly spots where adults come to relax and release the tightness in their muscles.

Basketball, tennis, shuffleboard, or volleyball courts may be found in the community you choose to reside in, ensuring that there will always be a game to be played and new friends to be made. Pickleball is fast becoming a very popular sport, and we are sure that the resorts will be adding pickleball courts to their landscape.

The communities in which our Tropical Villas Orlando retreats are located are designed to give travelers a full bodied vacation experience without leaving the borders of the resort and game rooms, furnished with pool tables, foosball tables, and arcade games can be found at many of the resorts.

On a rainy night, the theater rooms that may be found in the resort you chose are often a popular place to just hang out and chill. As with all the activities listed above, a theater won’t be found in all resorts, so if it interests you, read the listing to see if the one you are considering does have it.

This is where you can play those board games you discovered in the cabinets of some of our properties, where you can dedicate one end of the table as a puzzle station, dumping out the pieces and working throughout your stay to complete it before your vacation comes to an end, and the puzzle you choose may also be found in the cabinet with the games. Not every amenity has to be extraordinary, and these simple moments spent playing games or putting together puzzles can be the ones you remember most.

The first thing you may notice when you walk into the fully equipped kitchen for the first time may be the stone countertops, high-end appliances, or its overall cheerful vibe, but take a second to look further. Is that a wine refrigerator tucked away under a counter, giving you more room to keep your wine and maybe your beers at the right temperature? See the blender resting on the counter? Frothy tropical drinks make the time you spend poolside or simply sitting in lawn chairs, watching the sun set, more impactful. Yes, we did, but some of our properties offer their own private game rooms, giving guests more ways to play without having to put shoes and pants on! Many times, our larger properties will utilize the garage space for gaming equipment, including pool tables, basketball hoop games, air hockey tables, even video game consoles and multicade game systems. Some properties may just offer one large pool table, others may feature all of the above, but the fun you can have playing games with the family and not having to change from your swimsuit or pour more money into the activity is sure to be one of your favorite parts of your vacation experience.

Themed Bedrooms

The excitement your children experience while anticipating their theme park adventures will be multiplied exponentially when you extend that experience to a themed bedroom. Falling asleep under the watchful eye of Harry Potter, Micky Mouse, or R2D2 will lead to dreams filled with adventure, and for your little princess, a Disney princess themed bedroom will make her feel like she really is royalty, exciting her imagination and invading her dreams as well.
