Enjoy Red, White & Boom at Legoland

If you’re traveling with little ones to Orlando over the 4th of July who you know love Legos and are creatively inclined, there’s a good chance you’ll already be adding a stop at Legoland to the itinerary. Over Independence Day, this destination takes on the 4th of July fun in style with the return of the annual Red, White & Boom event! This fun-filled experience is always highly anticipated and in 2023 will run from July 2nd through July 4th. Upon arrival at Legoland, guests can enjoy a variety of activities as well as a DJ dance party that is sure to get you on your feet and grooving alongside family and friends. When the sun goes down, guests will have the chance to enjoy a spectacular 3D Lego brick fireworks show illuminating the night sky. The show is held over Lake Eloise and it’s a super popular event, so you’ll want to make sure to get your best seats early. All of the Red, White & Boom events are included in the cost of standard admission and some of the additional activities on the lineup include a Lego flag build as well as a Miniland scavenger hunt.

Savor Every Second of Holiday Fun at Walt Disney World

For many travelers heading to Orlando any time of year, a trip wouldn’t feel complete without some quality time enjoyed at Walt Disney World. Traveling here over the 4th of July is no exception to the rule! The good news is there’s a lot going on at the parks this time of year specific to Independence Day fun. From fireworks and custom events to parties galore, there’s no shortage of options for celebrating when you find yourself here. If your plans have you spending most of your time at the Magic Kingdom, you’ll be in the right place to enjoy Disney’s Celebrate America! This Fourth of July concert in the sky is one-of-a-kind and is a 14-minute display of fireworks above Cinderella’s Castle on Main Street U.S.A. that will be presented July 3rd and 4th. At The Hall of Presidents, guests can honor the country’s past and present by taking a unique look at animatronic versions of several of the nation’s leaders. Magic Kingdom hosts several DJ dance parties throughout the park on the 4th of July while the Flag Retreat is held at 5:00 pm daily on Main Street U.S.A. and invites guests to say the pledge of allegiance as the flag is lowered.

If you find yourself spending more time at Epcot, Disney characters here will be dressed in their best Independence Day attire for customized holiday meet-and-greets you won’t want to miss! Characters are most easily located at American Adventure which highlights the country’s heritage and history alike. There’s a ton of live entertainment in The American Pavilion over the 4th of July and shows often feature an eight-part acapella group known as Voices of Liberty at the American Gardens Theatre this time of year. Be sure to keep your eye on Spaceship Earth at Epcot which is lit up in dazzling red, white, and blue hues over the 4th of July!

Spend Time at SeaWorld Orlando

The 4th of July fun continues at SeaWorld Orlando in 2023 too. The theme park will host a 4th of July fireworks display over the large central lake that comes complete with synced music designed to bring the celebration to colorful life! Settle in at the Bayside Stadium for great views when you’re looking to make the most of the entertainment.

Make Your Way to Lake Eola Park

Known as an oasis within a bustling downtown Orlando, Lake Eola Park is one-of-a-kind and always a great stop whenever you’re in the city. Over the 4th of July, heading this way puts you in the right place to enjoy the Fireworks at the Fountain event. Hosted by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, the fun will happen between 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm and the event is designed as a family-friendly stop complete with food, beverages, and activities to enjoy. Fireworks are likely to begin around 9:15 pm and the display will be set to a live patriotic performance by the Orlando Concert Band.
